Your Freedom is in God’s Hands.

Praise the LORD, for he is good; for his mercy endures forever” Psalm 136*

“Let us not grow tired of doing good, for in due time we shall reap our harvest if we do not give up.”  Galatians 6:9.

The American people have chosen a new course for America. It is a course where government is seen as the source of its success, where politicians determine what a person will do with their life and where the elite power structure sets the course of the lives of millions of individual citizens.  Sadly this is a hopeless course for America, but it is one that Americans must experience before they see what it really means for them.  The only question will be:  Will enough freedom-loving Americans remain after this transformation to restore America to its roots of freedom, limited government, free markets and rule of law?  The answer to that question lies in God’s hands and depends on the number of people that turn to God and embrace their brother during the troubling times ahead.

God is supreme in all things and he has never left our sides.  God allows man to decide his own fate and then live with the consequences.  He calls on individuals to make the moral choices that best justify their lives and make them worthy of his grace and mercy. Even when man chooses wrongly and treads the path of evil, God’s grace and mercy endure forever and are unlimited.  Yet individuals will block that grace through sin and must turn from sin in order to be the best person they can be and bring the benefits of that grace and mercy into their life.

That is our new mission in America, to ensure that men and women turn to God and remember how precious the freedom is that he granted to them so generously. Individuals must reach out to their brothers and sisters and ask them to develop fully in conscience and in action.  We must remind them that they must jealously guard their individual freedom, use all their God-given talents to be the most productive and dignified person they can be.  They must treat their brother and sister as they would wish to be treated themselves.

What does that mean in practical terms if man is to be truly worthy of God’s grace and mercy?  It means that man must be willing to earn his own way and not steal from their fellow man. They should not embrace the theft that they can do as individuals or that they can do through a government power structure that “redistributes wealth”.  They must respect all lives and not just those deemed more worthy by a social power structure: that means protecting life when it is most vulnerable, from conception to its end.  That means ensuring that the governments that they empower act only in morally licit ways and do not create an environment that denies true social justice.  That true social justice requires that our society create the set of conditions that allow individuals to obtain what is their due according their nature and their vocation. Those authorities that do not act in morally licit ways to ensure the common good and true social justice lose their legitimate authority and man is under no obligation to be subjected to their rule.

It will be more essential than ever to adhere to God’s moral calling for us all in the coming years.  We are certain to be in the depths of a great depression in 2013 that will harm many of the poorest first. At those times they will use their voting power to vote themselves short term solutions that will fail and things will get worse. God calls on us to help them directly through charity so they may secure their dignity to themselves.  Very soon we are likely to be engaged in global war that will emerge from the Middle East. There will be opportunity for great abuse by the now fully established power structures in our Federal government.  As martial law is declared and men and women are silenced from free speech in the name of “national security”, it is the duty of God’s people to remind their fellow citizens of the great injustice proceeding before us.

In the book of Revelation, an allegorical picture is painted of the end of times and how man is sent message after message to turn to God. Instead more and more people reject God and those who adhere ever more strongly to His way are persecuted all the more.  Those are the types of times we face.  Those with eyes will not see, those with ears will not hear.  Man will face ever more increasing trials that are the work of evil, and are NEVER the work of God.  Know that economic and military catastrophes are not works of God and are only works of evil and man’s rejection of God. The more man rejects God, the more the evil and the trials will grow. God will be there, waiting for us to turn to him and embrace him.  Those that endure in God’s name will know salvation. Those that endure for God will be ready to bring their fellow man back to God.  When America has endured and turned back to God we will be worthy of his ever enduring Grace and Mercy and will then have the chance to restore America to the divine greatness He granted us in 1776.
