Story of the Week: Planned Parenthood. The slaughter of the innocents is finally noticed by Americans. Another Piece Coming today.
Florida Gov. Rick Scott orders inspections of Planned Parenthood offices Great News! “Fl Gov. Scott ordered state health officials to inspect Planned Parenthood offices that perform abortions, saying he is troubled by videos describing the organization’s procedures for providing tissue from aborted fetuses for research. The Republican governor said Wednesday the state will take quick legal and regulatory action if any of the 16 facilities in Florida are found in violation of the law…Anti-abortion activist John Stemberger, president of the Florida Family Policy Council, applauded Scott’s action and urged him to lead the way in taking away all tax funding from Planned Parenthoods nationwide.”Whenever the issue of abortion is involved, there are inconsistencies regarding clinic regulations, the standard of care, regulating physicians, that kind of thing,” Stemberger said.”
The Trump card Must Read! “Trump has turned this opening phase of the 2016 primaries into The Donald Trump Show. All of this might be entertaining, if this were not a crucial juncture in the history of the country and of the world… Iran has gotten a “deal” that all but guarantees that they will have nuclear bombs and ICBMs to deliver them. Iran doesn’t need ICBMs to reach Israel.. Send not to know for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee…My own view is that the last thing we need is another great talker with no track record of actually taking responsibility for running a government at any level. Among the Rep. candidates are some governors whose records are worth scrutinizing. But the sooner the talkers are gone, the better. We can only hope that Trump will be leading the procession of talkers headed for the exit. But don’t count on it.”
Fadi Chehade, ICANN chief, warns of potential problems as U.S. prepares to relinquish Web oversight Interesting! “That international system is fully challenged now by the Internet because it actually doesn’t understand its borders. That’s the power of the Internet. We don’t want to take it away. Yet we need to create mechanisms to ensure that we can address issues when egregious things are happening.”..“We don’t want more government intrusion,” Mr. Chehade said, noting that a proposal to give the UN a leading role with respect to governance once backed by Brazilian President Roussef in the wake of the NSA leaks has since been abandoned.ICANN has no interest in enforcing content on the Web, he added, and insists that cutting ties with the National Telecommunications and Information Administration won’t allow any government to get away with doing as much either.”
The Wages of Racial Discord According to a CBS/NYT poll, nearly 60% of Americans.. say race relations “are generally bad.” Almost 40% say they are getting worse.. CNN pollsters reported that the share of people who think race relations have improved on Mr. Obama’s watch had fallen to 15% this year from 32% in 2009, while the share who think relations have worsened grew to 39% from 6%. A Gallup survey in Jan reported that 62% of respondents are “somewhat dissatisfied” or “very dissatisfied” with the state of race relations in the country, versus 40% in 2008..Obama campaigned as a racial conciliator, someone who believed, as he said in a speech to the DNC in 2004, that “there is not a black America and a white America and Latino America and Asian America. There’s the United States of America.”But that is not how he has governed.”
Iran: U.S. Banned from Knowing Details of Iran Nuclear Inspection Agreement Scary! “Recent disclosures indicate that the inked nuclear accord includes a series of side deals on critical inspections that are neither public nor subject to review by the US. Iran’s ambassador and permanent envoy to the IAEA, stated over the weekend that no country is permitted to know the details of future inspections… no U.S. inspectors will be permitted to enter Iran’s nuclear sites..“Under the clear language of the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act.. members of Congress are entitled to the text of these two side deals..members have a right to all ‘annexes, appendices, codicils, side agreements, implementing materials, documents, and guidance, technical.. whether entered into or implemented prior to the agreement or to be entered into or implemented in the future.’
Energy Plan Could Cost $2.5 Trillion in Lost Economic Growth Even though electricity generation accounts for the single largest source of carbon dioxide emissions in the US, the estimated reduction is minuscule compared to global greenhouse gas emissions.Climatologists estimate that the administration’s climate regulations will avert less than two hundredths of a degree Celsius by 2100.In fact, all the plan will do is bring about higher energy bills, lost income, fewer jobs and a weaker economy – with little to no impact on the Earth’s temperature. The role of the federal government should be not to promote or restrict any energy source or technology, but instead to enforce free-market policies that generate innovation and provide competitive prices. In fact, the federal gov has done much more to restrict the development of these energy sources than promote them..”
Doug Ross @ Journal: FUNNIEST CHART O’ THE DAY: Breakdown of Where Bill and Hillary Clinton’s “Charitable” Donations Went “According to their tax returns, it turns out that essentially all of the Clinton family’s “charitable donations” were directed back to their own “charities”. As TaxProf notes, the family’s charitable giving from 2007 onward has been a case study in moving money around. Since 2007, the Clintons “made $15 million (10.8 percent of their AGI) of charitable contributions, $14.9 million of which went to the Clinton Family Foundation and the Clinton Global Initiative.”That leaves $100,000 for charitable uses that don’t directly involve the Clinton family and their globalist friends.”
Obamacare enrollees less satisfied than people with other types of coverage: survey “Just 30 percent of customers on Obamacare’s exchanges were satisfied with their coverage, the health care research arm of the Deloitte consulting firm said.Only a quarter of Obamacare customers in the survey were confident that they could get care when they needed it, and just 16 percent felt “financially prepared” to handle future health care costs, Deloitte said…Republican lawmakers said the Deloitte results reflect their critiques that high costs, mainly through big deductibles and copays, have left Obamacare’s customers functionally uninsured.“The fact that so few people receiving large subsidies to purchase Obamacare coverage are satisfied is another testament to how the law has been an expensive failure,” Sen. John Barrasso, Wyoming Republican, said in response to the study.”
Retailers Expect a Boost With Florida’s Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday Shoppers and stores across Florida are getting ready for the back-to-school sales tax holiday which starts on Friday and runs until Aug. 16. Back in June, the Legislature voted to extend the back-to-school tax holiday to 10 days, a large increase from the usual three-day period. Starting on Friday, there will be no sales tax on clothes, shoes and bags $100 and less, school supplies up to $15 and the first $750 of personal computers.
New California Water Regulations Will Break the Bank This EPA rule is a total waste of our money with no benefit. Could this be to help bring down our economy. I see no other reason! “The EPA DC and the CA equivalent—are preparing to move independently toward issuing new rules against a compound that is both manmade and naturally occurring. This compound, present in the earth long before humans ever began manufacturing it, poses no threat to public health in most cases.., but the clean-up will cost tax payers tens of billions of dollars if the regulations take effect..Regulators will impose significant costs on water systems across the country to test and treat drinking water to meet this unnecessary new standard. Worse still, these tightened regulations would have no discernible impact on public health, according to current and former EPA officials..”
Iran publishes book on how to out wit US and destroy Israel Must Read! “Khamenei claims that his strategy for the destruction of Israel is not based on anti-Semitism, which he describes as a European phenomenon. His position is instead based on “well-established Islamic principles.”One such principle is that a land that falls under Muslim rule, even briefly, can never again be ceded to non-Muslims. What matters in Islam is ownership of a land’s government, even if the majority of inhabitants are non-Muslims…In Khamenei’s analysis, once the cost of staying in Israel has become too high for many Jews, Western powers, notably the US, which have supported the Jewish state for decades, might decide that the cost of doing so is higher than possible benefits. Thanks to President Obama, the US has already distanced itself from Israel to a degree unimaginable a decade ago.”
Author Ronald Kessler On Bill Clinton: ‘He Has A Blonde, Busty Mistress’ This will be a best-seller!! “Author Ronald Kessler defends secret service agents and makes some sensational claims about former Presidents in his new book, The First Family Detail: Secret Service Agents Reveal the Hidden Lives of the Presidents..“The culture that has led to this corner-cutting, it’s a culture within the management, not among the agents. Agents…are patriots. The management has the attitude of covering up, retaliating against agents that do reports problems. Obama’s decision to appoint Joseph Clancy to continue as Director, has just continued the same culture..”He reports some very scandalous stories in the book, including allegations of Clinton carrying out liaisons with another women when his wife is not around.“He has a blonde, busty mistress, and she’s been code named Energizer by agents.”
Giant, hungry snails are eating the stucco off houses in Florida YUCK!! “Since 2011, Florida has spent $10.8 million on the Giant African Snail eradication program, according to state agriculture department spokesman Mark Fagan. That is 10 times more than officials spent to wipe out the snails’ last invasion of Florida in the 1960s, an effort that lasted an entire decade. And there is still no end in sight.”The fact is they’re a human- and animal-health threat, and they’re a threat to Florida’s agriculture,” said Fagan. “We can’t let the population continue..Adding to their reproductive success, the snails are hermaphrodites, and they can lay up to 1,200 eggs per year. Their eggs look like miniature chicken eggs, each about the size of a Tic Tac.The snails can disappear for months, hibernating below ground, only to resurface in hurricane season when it is warm and wet.”
How Welfare Spending Hurts the People It’s Supposed to Help Must Read! “Nicholas Kristof in The New York Times has reflected on the unintended negative side-effects of welfare. Analyzing the Supplemental Security Income program for children, he recently wrote that “America’s safety net can sometimes entangle people in soul-crushing dependency. Our poverty programs do rescue many people, but other times they backfire.” Costing over $1 trillion per year, the current welfare system is enormous, but much of this spending is counterproductive. Today’s welfare programs undermine work and marriage, leading to a broadening pattern of intergenerational dependence and self-defeating behaviors. Furthermore, if work provides benefits besides monetary compensation (such as a greater connection to society), the fact that welfare discourages work may have severe and immense long-term consequences.”
Marco Rubio Wants Computer Chips in Medicare Cards to Cut Down on Fraud, Protect DataGreat idea!! About time!! “Presidential hopeful U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., is leading an effort to crack down on Medicare fraud by inserting computer chips on Medicare cards. Rubio teamed up with frequent legislative partner U.S. Sen. Mark Kirk, R-Ill., and U.S. Reps. Peter Roskam, R-Ill., and Earl Blumenauer, D-Ore., to unveil the “Medicare Common Access Card Act of 2015” on Tuesday. The bill would insert chips in Medicare cards, much like what is currently used by U.S. Department of Defense personnel. Noting Medicare fraud costs taxpayers around $60 billion annually, the sponsors insisted their bill would cut down on fraud and protect seniors’ data.”
