Trump Wisely Removes USA from Paris Climate Slavery; St. Pete Sewage Debt and more: Helena’s News Roundup

Trump wisely withdraws the USA from a plan that harms America, addresses a phony "climate crisis" does nothing to change temperatures meaningfully and merely enriches the crony corporatists of the world.

Editors Note (By Dr. David McKalip): Yesterday was an historic victory for Americans and freedom in the world: President Donald Trump withdrew our country from the Paris climate accords. The accords, based on the man made global warming hoax, was designed to economically disable our country, transfer our tax dollars to foreign countries and place severe limits on energy use by average Americans. Adherence would drive up costs for energy for all, most harming the poor in the USA and the world. Developing third world counties would be denied their ability to responsibly use their natural energy resources. Countries like China and India would be allowed to pollute while the USA would be required to pay them to do so. President Trump continues to impress with his bold leadership on behalf of Americans and free people everywhere. His leadership just made the world a better place as we continue to be the shining beacon of freedom for all to see and seek as a way of life.

Report Finds Thousands of Noncitizens on Voter Rolls in Virginia

WOW! “In a report released Tues, the Public Interest Legal Foundatiion, a conservative legal group, found 5,556 voters were removed because they were noncitizens and that one-third of those removed voted illegally….“The report also found that 7,474 illegal ballots were cast from the group of removed noncitizens and that some records of illegal voting went back to the 1980s.“At the instruction of Gov. McAuliffe’s political appointees, local election officials spent countless resources to prevent this information from spilling into the open..” VA hid critical info that would have improved election integrity while a political operative-turned-gov vetoed numerous proposals that would’ve prevented alien registration and voting. From N VA to Norfolk and all urban and rural points in between, alien voters are casting ballots with practically no legal consequences in response.”

Trump’s Food Stamp Reform Would Close the Trap of Dependency

Great Idea! “Under the Trump reform, recipients who cannot immediately find a job would be expected to engage in “work activation,” including supervised job searching, training, and community service. This idea of a quid pro quo between welfare recipients and society has nearly universal support among the public. Nearly 90% of the public agree that “able-bodied adults that receive cash, food, housing, and medical assistance should be required to work or prepare for work as a condition of receiving those government benefits.”The outcomes were nearly identical across party lines, with 87% of Democrats and 94% of Republicans agreeing…work requirements in welfare was the core principle of the welfare reform law enacted in the mid-1990s. That reform led to record drops in welfare dependence and child poverty. Employment among single mothers surged.”

Both suggest that AHCA will reduce premiums compared to ACA.

Excellent article! “In 2009 a Gallup poll found that the public’s top concern about the bill was its cost. 7 years later, long after “reform” became law, Gallup found that Americans still named cost as the most urgent health care problem. Consequently, the combined effect of last week’s reports from HHS and the CBO is lethal to Obamacare. HHS reported that ins premiums have doubled since 2013 while the CBO found that the American Health Care Act will produce lower premiums..”The CBO’s assertion that AHCA would produce lower premiums than would Obamacare precipitated an inevitable propaganda campaign by the “news” media. Countless outlets published preposterous headlines – “Budget Office: 23 Million People Would Lose Ins Under New Health Care Law.” The point of such inaccurate reports was to distract the public from findings like the following:”

Trump Fired A Corrupt VA Official. Then The VA Stepped In And Said Not So Fast

Not Acceptable! “A notoriously corrupt VA manager fired in the first day of Trump’s presidency – to rousing acclaim from vets who heralded it as a sign of lasting reform- has been returned to work by VA officials after he filed a civil-service protections appeal. The return of the Puerto Rico hospital director is the latest example of Trump’s reform efforts encountering the entrenchment of what he has called Washington’s swamp, and comes in the same month a court ruled that the VA may not even be able to fire the Phoenix hospital director, who is a convicted felon as a result of job-related misconduct.”

Transcript: Defense Secretary James Mattis on “Face the Nation,” May 28, 2017

Must Read- Interview with Gen. Mattis! “Face the Nation” sat down with James Mattis. In his first TV interview since he assumed his Cabinet position, Mattis discussed the fight against ISIS, as well as N Korea, the Paris climate accord, Trump’s message on NATO – and more. MATTIS: Our strategy right now is to accelerate the campaign against ISIS. It is a threat to all civilized nations. And the bottom line is we are going to move in an accelerated and reinforced manner, throw them on their back foot. We have already shifted from attrition tactics where we shove them from one position to another in Iraq and Syria, to annihilation tactics where we surround them. Our intention is that the foreign fighters do not survive the fight to return home to N Africa, to Europe, to America, to Asia, to Africa. We’re going to stop them there ”

St. Petersburg’s ballooning sewage debt could threaten credit rating (but there’s a Hail Mary plan to avoid that)

St. Pete needs a new mayor like Rick Baker to correct the Sewage problem Kriseman should have done long ago!! “The city needs a lot of money – $435 million over the next 5 years – most of it to fix its leaky sewer pipes and aging sewer plants. Without that cash, St. Pete could face steep fines for violating a soon-to-be-finalized consent order with the state forcing the city to fix its sewage problems. But the huge price tag comes with financial repercussions: It would effectively double St. Pete’s overall utility debt, threatening the city’s utility bond rating- which is used as a measure of a municipality’s credit-worthiness.That revelation appeared to surprise the St. Pete City Council Thurs. Then the council learned of a Hail Mary plan to try to raise the funds without endangering the city’s credit:”

Rick vs. Rick: Closing Albert Whitted sewage plant could impact St. Petersburg mayor’s race

“Of all the political stink that has wafted over city politics since the first drop of 200 million gallons of sewage started gushing out 2 years ago, one question lingers:Why did the city close the Albert Whitted sewage plant? The answer spans 3 mayors and will likely become a pivotal issue in the battle between 2 of them: Mayor Kriseman vs. former Mayor Baker. Why does the Albert Whitted decision matter? Because closing one of the city’s 4 sewer plants exacerbated the St. Pete sewage crisis, the worst environmental and financial headache the city has ever faced. That’s according to a Fl Dept of Environmental Protection report, and there are state and federal investigations still looking into the mess. The city closed the plant in April 2015. 4 months later, 31.5 million gallons of sewage spilled and was discharged into Tampa and Boca Ciega bays.”

Climate Budget Cuts Are Smart Management, Not an Attack on Science

Good!! “It’s been described as a “a punitive … assault on science, the environment, and indeed the planet.”Aside from being inappropriate and irresponsible, these remarks are how some in the policy world and media have depicted cuts to global warming spending in Trump’s first budget proposal.People seem to have forgotten-or perhaps never noticed-just how much the government spends on direct climate programs. Trump’s budget proposal does in fact eliminate or cut a number of climate programs. But you don’t have to scratch too far beneath the surface to realize there are legitimate  justifications for doing so…At least 18 federal agencies administer climate change activities, costing at least $77 billion between fiscal years 2008 and 2013, according to the Congressional Research Service.”

President Trump is Right To Call Out NATO Countries – U.S. Paying 76 Percent of Total NATO Spending…

Eye-opener! “Trump’s political opposition, including Most Swamp Media, have claimed he went too far in calling out NATO members for their lack of funding their own military and security apparatus.During Trump’s latest trip to NATO he stated publicly they needed to improve and do it quickly. The media expressed a position that Trump was too direct; however, what the media never shows is how far out of balance the entire financial system is for NATO.The members of NATO agreed to spend at least 2% of their GDP on their own internal defense and security. Most people are probably familiar with a graphic below explaining the dynamic:However… For us to spend 3.61% of our massive GDP ($18.5 Trillion) is actually $670,344,000,000 That represents 76.11% of the entire NATO budget.”

Trump’s first foreign trip was a huge success

Spot On! “He was clear, concise and disciplined. Those were the key ingredients that created a striking success for Trump in his first foreign trip.If he can bottle that recipe and start each day in the Oval Office with a big gulp of it, his presidency gets a renewed chance to live up to its promises.Trump’s clarity on the global stage was a reminder of why he was elected. Much as he did in the campaign on his best days, he cut through the BS to get to the heart of contentious issues and offer forceful solutions.Under enormous scrutiny, he acted in the best traditions of Am leadership on two continents by helping create a Muslim NATO to combat radical Islamists and by pushing the original NATO to face terrorism and financial facts.”

How Team Obama tried to hack the election

Must Read! “New revelations- that the Obama admin abused intelligence during the election by launching a massive domestic-spy campaign that included snooping on Trump officials. The irony is mind-boggling: Targeting political opposition is long a tech of police states like Russia, which Team Obama has loudly condemned for allegedly using its own intelligence agencies to hack into our election. The revelations, as well as testimony from former Obama intelligence officials, show the extent to which the Obama administration politicized and weaponized intelligence against Americans…Langley vets say Brennan was the most politicized director in the agency’s history. Former CIA   Coyle said Brennan was “known as the greatest sycophant in the history of the CIA, and a supporter of Hillary before the election. I find it hard to put any real credence in anything that the man says.”

Trump’s bracing clarity on terrorism: His Saudi speech, rallying the world, brings necessary boldness to the fight

Written by former CIA Dir. James Woolsley. Worth the read!! “The words “The Middle East” and “optimism” are not routinely paired. But who would know that, given the reactions of the region’s leaders to Trump’s recent trip?“A turning point,” said Saudi Arabia’s King Salman.“The reassertion of American leadership in the Middle East,” said Netanyahu.“Capable of doing the impossible,” said Egyptian Pres Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi about Trump’s impact. Sissi’s use of the word “impossible” was understandable. The optics in Riyadh where Trump gave his address, might have seemed implausible a few weeks ago. But it happened: The rulers of 50 Arab nations gathered in one place to applaud an Am President’s exhortations against IS “extremism.”Even Trump’s domestic critics sounded impressed..”

Education Indoctrination: 18-25 Age 504 Electoral Votes for Dems, 23 For Republicans

Not a good future for America! “According to the Fl Citizens’ Alliance (FCA), if only 18-25 year olds voted in the 2016 election the result would have been 504 electoral votes for Democrats and 23 for Republicans. The FCA says that left biased indoctrination of America’s education system is so dominant that there is only room for one political view: the perspective of the hard left. FCA has published a report of 30 objectionable materials:“18 months ago a group of 30 citizens reviewed over 60 Collier texts and recommended- reading books. We found many of them riddled with political and religious indoctrination, revised history that distorts our founding principles, and pornography. Here is that Report..””

Miami-Dade braces for mosquito season with new battle plan: fight year-round

Good! “A year after getting caught off-guard by the first outbreak of the Zika virus in the continental US, Miami-Dade Co aims to enter this mosquito season armed and ready. The small mosquito-fighting div has been shored up with $25 million – most of it covered by the state- and tripled in size to 59 positions, including a medical entomologist. The number of surveillance traps, which last year was just six at the height of the season, has grown to 150, posted from the Broward Co line to Florida City and checked weekly by inspectors. The division’s website was redesigned and a mini fleet of truck foggers assembled. And for the first time, the Aedes aegypti mosquito that carries the virus linked to severe birth defects is being treated as a year-round problem with larviciding ongoing through the winter and spring.”
